Our Story
BonusRiver started in June 2025 when two iGaming industry veterans decided to build the casino review site they always wanted to use themselves. We met while working as customer support agents at an online casino - the entry point for most people in this industry. From there we moved into team leadership, training, and casino streaming, gaining a perspective on online gambling that most review sites simply don't have.
We've seen the industry from every angle. We've handled player complaints, trained support teams, managed escalations, and spent years as active players ourselves. That experience shapes everything we publish. When we rate a casino's support, we know what good support actually looks like from the inside. When we evaluate bonus terms, we calculate the real value the way a player would - not the way a marketing team presents it.
We're based in Malta, the heart of the European iGaming industry. Being here keeps us close to the operators, the regulators, and the people shaping how online gambling works.

Emil Wolfgang
Norwegian. Started in iGaming as a customer support agent and worked through team lead and training roles before founding BonusRiver. Reviews every casino on the site personally and handles licensing compliance and player protection standards.

No inflated ratings, no casinos we wouldn't play at ourselves.
Every casino on BonusRiver goes through the same evaluation process. We score each one on a 0-10 scale across six criteria: payout speed, trustworthiness, game variety, bonus quality, support, and mobile experience.
